I am rebuilding my 400ex and I'm replacing an old hotcam with a stock cam. My question is will the stock cam with the compression release work with out the small spring and plunger that fits into the head. I dont care if the compression release actually works, I just want to make sure I dont need that spring and plunger to disengage the compression release. Thanks for the help.
