HELP. i have a 01 trx250ex. It creeps a lot when the clutch is engaged... idk if this is bad. But the main issue is that after a little riding you cannot get out of reverse. I have to shut it off, go to nuetral and then restart. It gets very very frustrating. I am thinking the clutch is shot...

 

ok. I took the whole quad apart. I have the engine split on the bench. The smaller chain...i believe is for reverse is very loose, I believe this is causing it to be locked in reverse. I am now torn if I should take the clutch apart because that may be worn as well.... any input?

 

Might as well if you're already working on the engine. Better to be safe than sorry. And even worse to get everything back together, and then have to replace it anyway in 2 months, right?
