Welcome! Basically you have to eliminate the stator and coil as the main culprits as there really isn't a good cdi test in the manual. You have to ohm out the stator wires going into the cdi module . According to the manual on the 2000 model: Red to Green 1.6 ohms, Black/red to Green 446 ohms. Coil primary tab to ground 0.3 ohms. Coil secondary (plug end to coil tab) 6300 ohms. These measurement are + or - 20%. More often than not the stator is the main source of problems on ignition. OPT

None of the leads on the CDI should go to ground correct?

The black one will for sure because it's the ignition kill wire on the cdi and grounds to kill it! As far as for the rest,I don't really know! Stands to reason they shouldn't,but you need to either test the other components OR replace the cdi with a "known" good one to test the ignition as the manual says. OPT

I have isolated and checked the other components and seem to be ok. When I check the wires on the CDI all of them go to ground except the black one. Thanks for your input.

That you'll have to ask someone that's tried em! Any time I had to replaced any electronics I stayed with oem.

PROCOM offers CDI ignition boxes with more aggressive ignition curves and higher RPM limits to get maximum performance from your ATV. $160.
