Default '05 Magnum 4x4 Oil Lines

My Polaris 330 4x4 seems to be overheating. I bought it used and it appears the oil cooler was changed and the lines have been cut and spliced back together. Does it matter which oil line goes to which cooler connection? Right now the right engine connection goes to the right cooler connection (as seated on the bike). And the left to the left . Makes sense, but I thought it might make a difference if one is the input line and on is an output.

If I remember correctly this is right the way you have it on your 330. Left fitting to left side of oil cooler, right to right side, and yes it does matter which way! OPT
