KLF 185 bayou won't idle?!?
 

Hi I own a Kawasaki KLF 185 Bayou for some reason it will not idle and when i try to adjust the idle screw nothing happens, at first i thought it was a carb problem so i pulled the carb off went through all the jets un screwed the idle and pilot screw and went through them with carb cleaner anyway the next morning i tried starting it up it fired but still no idle i had a thought that it wasn't getting enough fuel to the engine so i brought a new fuel filter thinking the it was blocked up with gum and it still won't idle if you have any ideas why this is happening please let me know

I'm pulling out the cam as I've done everything else. Dollars to Donuts its the "decompressor unit" not releasing and keeping the exh open that slight amount to stop it from idling. I may just pull it out completely.

Did you have any luck figuring out the idle issue. Small thing here. Also, what do you mean the decompression unit?
