The ATV will not let me turn the lights on while the engine is off. I just got it and know hardly anything about it. I was thinking the lights should turn on when the ATV was connected to the battery, but they don't. I wired up the brake lights and when I pull the brake the lights in the back DO come on with the engine off. I have several other models from it's time and with a connect battery, the lights would turn on regardless if the engine was running or not. So is this some sort of electrical issue? Or is it designed this way? If anyone could help me please do. It is a 2003 and it runs strong still. All the electrical connections are good, and everything is working fine. The lights just won't turn on with the battery, only when the engine is running.
