I just put a down payment on the 23'AK and have read on another RV forum that people are saying attitude TH are 2000 heavier than their UGVW lists (23' said 5600lbs).

Anyone wiegh theirs yet? If this is true I wont be able to tow it with toys and water.

Any honest dealer will tell you that the Attitudes are listed about 1k lighter than the true weight. They list the Axle weight also, so after you add in the hitch weight and then add the true weight of the trailer, it probably is about 1500lbs. mine is listed as 5300lbs, but the hitch weight is 800, and I weighed it in at about 7000lbs. IT'S A GREAT TRAILER - WE LOVE IT- YOU WILL BE HAPPY!!

Our friends just purchased the attitude 21ak on thursday 20, 2005 loaded and took it out on the 21rst not 20 minutes on the fwy and the trailer flipped and spun the truck with all family members aboard 180 degrees. Have you heard of any manufacturing faults? Have u had any problems? Everything was loaded and hooked up properly and thank god no one was injured. All of us are just racking our brains trying to figure out what the hell happend.
Thanks

I'm glad to hear that nobodys hurt

What were they towing it with? How heavy was the trailer loaded? What type of hitch were they using?
I might have been an issue of how it was loaded more than anything else. Placing all the weight in the back of the trailer might get it goin sideways quickly.

The 21ak attitude was towed with a Ford F150 crew cab, the trailer was loaded to the front with 3 dirt bikes 1 can of wood behind that a small tool box and med. size ice chest with a few gear bags. There wasn't alot of weight to the rear. Also we do this all the time with our truck and trailer. We were all together and watched the loading and hooking up of the trailer. The towing capacity was fine for the truck, nothing disconnected even with the truck on its side, it lifted the rear of the truck up about 3ft, with the trailer still attached.

havent been posting that much lately but i did get the toyhauler awhile ago and i've had some problems so just want to warn people. i got the 26 front sleeper

1. the biggest problem of all has been getting the thing serviced. i have called the manufact over 20 times and they havent set a solid date for me to bring it in yet. the service manager is NEVER at his desk, i have left 5 messages and got called back once to take information and am still waiting for a call.

2. on my first trip out the electric bunk beds went out, i found out it was the fuse, replaced it, blew it out, replaced it, blew it out over and over. still hasnt gotten fixed because of problem #1

3. on my way to pismo i stopped at a gas station and all of a sudden the front door on the hauler swung open. everyone that was with me thought i must have forgotten to close it right but i thought i did. anyways about a month ago the guy that runs the storage i keep it at calls me and tells me my front door is wide open, it had been windy the night before. i know for sure i close and locked everything, i went to see if someone had broken in and there was no trace of force and nothing was stolen. something is making the door open

4. on my trip to gorman, the generator kept shutting down when i turned the A/C on, i'm not an expert in electricity but my guess is if they sell you a hauler with a generator that thing should be able to handle everything being turned on.

5. lastly on that same trip to gorman, when i was on the freeway there was a dead raccoon or something in the road i went over it with out running it over with my tire and it somehow tripped off the emergency brakes on the hauler, thankfully it was 4 am and there was hardly anyone on the road, this could just be an accident but something to look for

i have barely taken it out because i want to get the problems fixed first, i'm starting to think by the time they get to fixing the problems my warrenty will be expired. also i was going to file a complaint with the BBU but they already have an F rating.

are you taking it to the manufacturer, or the RV place where you bought it? Try where you bought it, that is supposed to be where it gets serviced. If they dont service, call eclipse (or whoever is the manu) and ask for another dealer closed to you who is authorized.

I have taken mine to my dealer once, and it is going in the second time at the end of the month. there has just been minor things, like loose fittings at the shower, problems with the weight dist hitch, etc
