Back in my younger days, when I was a big time racer in the midwest, I used to pull a covered snowmobile trailer with a Pinto. Hey it was all I had OK? Well, one day I was driving to a national points race in IOWA at 3 AM, and I am half asleep... I see this sign that said "bump"..... next thing I know, I was 6 feet in the air after launching off of a train crossing at about 70 plus MPH. I swear I rubbed off ALL the undercoating on the landing. I looked inside the trailer, and the bikes and everything was upside down and a mess.... I pushed on... got stuck up to my door sills in the entry road, and had to get pushed out in the morning.... My partner and I both broke in practice.. He put his foot through his front wheel, and I split an aluminun gas tank..... On the way home, we had a blow out on the trailer and spun it around a couple of times... When I got home, I quit racing for good. Never turned another lap since....
