Any Ford V-10 owners change exhaust???

Looking for advice on best sounding, and performing exhaust set-up for a 2003 F250 V-10. Truck has k&n intake set-up now, want to change exhaust. I have heard some on the v-10's that sound like a darn rice burner muffler, looking for a more throaty sound. Thanks!!

When I bought a different truck, a GMC 1500 x-cab 4x4, I took it to a custom exhaust center and had them put a single 3" through a "truck turbo" muffler, and had them run it in the stock location exit, just back about 6" to keep from frying the mud flaps ( seen a lot of melted mudflaps on pipes) . He custom bent it to take out all the big turns and twists of the stock exhaust, so it flows a lot better, and at idle, it sounds great, soft, deep rumble, just louder than stock, and when you get on it, it rumbles up to a nice performance growl, not tinny or "rappy" like those glass pack jobs. Some run duals, but I like the looks of one pipe, one muffler to take care of, and I got a warranty on the muffler. For your V-10, if you go single, you may want a 3 1/2 " pipe for those extra cylinders. I think Banks and a few other companies make complete exhaust kits for diesel and V-10 trucks as well.

you might wana try a flowmaster 40 series or even a 30 serries muffler (I have a 40 series on a 5.4 and it sounds nice to me) here is a link to a page with the aero turbine exhaust system on an excursion and if you go to their main page you can listen to other clips of exhausts on different vehicles http://exhaustsoundclips.com/phpbb2/...gory&cat_id=10

My bro-in-law went and had a flowmaster put on after I got my Dakota done and was really disapointed in the way it sounded. He gets ribbed about it sounding like an import.
