Default New Duramax!!

most of my friends have duramax's and the break-in for mileage seems to range from 15000 and up as far as fuel economy. i've got 40000 on my 03 an i get from 18-23 witout towing and 14-18 towing. stock is not going to be aswell towing vs running the edge st1 towing. i don't tow stock so i've got no idea what the mileage will be there ,but all my friends d-max's seem to be right around the same. they usually have about an 1/8th tank less when we get up around the 200-250 mile mark when traveling.

Yeah mine sucks too . I have it calibrated for 285 tires and get 13.3 @ 120 km/r . How is your dealership in Vermilion Stev-o ? As far as the diesel guy goes .

Myself and my family have purchased many gmcs/chevys over the last few yrs. So they let me get away with chippin my duramax and not void my warrenty. They also do lift kits there. If i get it threw them, i'll still have my full warrenty. But they're tryin to rip me off pretty bad on the price.

The diesel guy.... he seems to have pretty good knowledge about the duramax. He's doesn't mind the aftermarket parts.

Got the 45-gallon Transfer Flow fuel tank put on. Wow. . . my poor gauges can't figure things out. I was on a long trip after and left with a full tank. . . range kept going up!!!

Shouldn't have to stop very often now

That was one thing I loved about my Excursion. . . Stock it had a 44-gallon fuel tank. Great for towing. Painful at fuel-ups.

I got the Edge w/ attitude and it made a huge diff. It does make slight mpg increase, but mine sucks anyways. I don't see how some of you's get 20 plus, I'm lucky to get 14. And my truck calibrated for 285's. I just wish my truck would smoke more in level 5, lots of peeps say you shouldn't be able to see out of you rear view mirror it rolls out so much. Not here?

I may be wrong but I don't think the 360 horse is coming out til eary next year

Edge w/ Att. is what I have too, made a huge diff. I can't say the 6 gun is a waste, its still a good tuner. And with the right stack you can have a hell of a machine. These modern diesels are really holding back alot of power.
