One week ago today my 98 dodge was on fire... Not sure what caused it. It was an electrical fire the Power distribution center (fuse panel) under the hood caught fire. I had just got home from my sons wrestling practice and noticed my battier level was down so I was going to put it on the charger. I pulled into the carport and popped the hood. When I got out I noticed under the hood was a nice glow… So I lifted the hood up and had some nice big flames from the fuse panel area… took the truck down to the dealer ship and they said just for the wire harness and the Power distribution center was $2900.00 not including the labor… So I told them to call the insurance co. and let them know. I have yet to hear from them the insurance co. as what they want to do. The truck is not bad as far as damage to the body but I still don’t know what caused the fire…
