I like my LineX liner but actually I don't think you can really go wrong with a Rhino Liner either. Matter of fact I found this offer on Rhino's website....You can register to win a free Rhino Liner and everyone who registers automatically recieves anywhere from a $25 to $100 off coupon towards the purchase of a Rhino Liner.

I've had line-x sprayed in two of my trucks and it's absolutely flawless in both the way it looks and the way it stands up to the beating. When I sold one of the trucks the bed looked un- used, and trust me that helped me sell it.

My new ford F-150 is next to get a sprayed liner put on, The rubber mat i have in it now keeps too much moisture under it. I;ve heard some manufactures have different colors?, My truck is white, I would like to have a white liner sprayed on, is this possible? Are other colors not as durable as black?

Line-x is the wat to go. Had mine for 2 years and looks as good as the day I got it. Small scratches seem to disappear after I wash it. I was told when I got it the color mathced turns to orange after time in the sun but someone at DTW had thiers done to match and said it would stay the color.

I'm beginning to think I typed my first reply just to listen to myself talk. I'll try this again but put it in layman's terms this time.

I recommended a hot sprayed liner. These types of liners are more popular. What kind of liner is Line-X? Yup, it's a hot/ high pressure sprayed liner.

I would never go out on a limb and recommend a brand by name alone. I just recommend the style of liner. The reason? The product is only as good as the installation. Case in point: Someone replied that they had their Line-X done and got in less than two hours. This is not something I would brag about to anyone. I've been spraying liners for a living for more than a decade now. I can tell you for sure that the bed of that truck was not prepped properly. A properly prepped truck bed will take at least for hours to mask, prep and spray. This is why I recommend finding a good dealer.

A bed MUST be ground up with a grinder to be properly prepped. Lightly scuffing the paint, or using a scotch brite pad is not an acceptable form of prepping a liner peeps. All edges need to be hand sanded completely to insure a perfect bond at the edge.

I've seen jacked up jobs from every name in the book regardless of how well known they are. Get to know your dealer and ask questions up front.

Someone also mentioned to make sure your dealer uses string tape. We're in the 21st century now. All dealers use it.

I'm the one you mention in your post, and not to start an argument or anything, but I didn't say my liner was done in less than 2 hours. I said "in about 2 hours". It may have been more, but it definitely wasn't less than 2 hours. The guy who sprayed my liner had two other guys helping him and after removing the tiedowns, bedbolts, tailgate and the tailgate lock access panel everything in the bed and on the tailgate was taken to bare metal using grinders, air sanders and yes even hand sanding. (I remember cause they let me watch the whole process and I was freaking out because of what they were doing to the bed of my brand new truck LOL) Then everything was chemically wiped clean at least twice before it was taped, masked and sprayed. Like I said, I watched the whole process...They were so proud of their work that they WANTED me to watch. I can assure you that no shortcuts were taken and that the job wasn't "jacked up"

I've had my liner for 3 years now and I've hauled everything from sand, gravel, dirt, torn off roof shingles, broken concrete and firewood to dirty fire hose and muddy quads......you name it and the bed liner still looks almost new and is still holding fast with no gouges, rips tears or
anything like that.

Like I said, not trying to argue.....the info you posted is good to know for anyone looking to get a new sprayed in bedliner.

I am glad you replied to my post. I almost put a comment in parenthases (sp) but didn't. I was going to make a comment about numerous people working on the truck at the same time. That was the only way I could see it getting done properly in that amount of time.

Now you have to keep in mind where my thought process is coming from when I typed what I said. There are A LOT of dealers that, for some reason, think it's a great marketing tool to advertise liners getting done in less than two hours. They achieve this by masking the truck off and then rubbing the bed down quickly with a scotch brite pad followed by spraying the bed. This practice is more common in the industry then most people realize. That was the basis of my post.

Keep in mind I've seen this with every brand of liner. Line-X, Rhino, Armor Thane, Full Metal Jacket, Extreme, and so on. My point is, regardless of how recognized the name is, that doesn't mean it's the better way to go.

Please accept my apologies if I offended. And thank you for replying with a good frame of mind.

You have to understand I take great pride in what I do to feed my family.

No apology needed Buck, I totally understand what you were trying to say......Matter of fact I think Line-X actually does advertise getting a liner done in a 2 hour time frame. LOL

By the way, it's good to know that there are still people out there like you who take pride in their work. It's getting harder and harder to find these days.

I know the look you spoke of when you said they were attacking your truck with grinders. I've seen that look a time or two over the years. It is a little tough to stomach on a brand new 50k truck.

Thanks for the compliment.
