Default Good truck for carrying an atv?

Im planning on buying an older truck for when I buy an atv, Im thinking probably a trx450r, and was wondering what trucks I could fit it into the bed off. I dont want to spend more than 4k, I was thinking maybe an early 90s tacoma but was wondering if I could get some opinions.

Should fit in anything. But, the things to consider are, do you want to be able to close the tailgate? Do you want it to fit between the wheel wells, or drive over them. A full size pick up with a six foot bed, and you're good to go. (Taco Bell wave)

Good to hear. I would like to be able to close the tailgate though. Anyone have any experience with loading one up in a late 80s drop top 4runner? I think that would be pretty cool.

You need about a 6' bed to fit one fo these in and have the tailgate up. Generally a full size truck will be wide enough so that clearing the wheelwells will be a snap. I used to put an '86 quadsport easily into an '85 Ranger that had the long bed. That quad is shorter than the current 400 and 450s, but I think they would fit also.

I use to haul 2 dirt bikes in my 85 4runner with the hard top off , but had to load them backwards and compress the rear suspension to slide the seat under the roll bar .
You could probably do the same with a quad if it wasn't too big , but remember that the taigate interior panel is not meant for heavy loads like a truck , and all the moving parts for the power rear window is inside , so you dont want to be putting any stress on it , maybe lay a piece of plywood over it for support .

Dont get an F-150 supercrew pickup. I have one and I can just barely get my trailblazer in it. Like no room on the sides getting it in. The way the back end wraps around looks cool but is just not user friendly. Other than that I would recomend it.

Anything really like the people before me said, if you wanna close the tail gate you'll need atleast a 6' bed, make sure you get yourself a good pair of ramps too.
