How to tow an Yamaha 350 4x4 with a Jeep Liberty
#1
I would like to avoid towing my ATV (550 lbs) with a trailer. Is it possible to hitch it up on an class III receiver ? Will my Jeep Liberty be ok?? (Stock Suspension)
Pls comments,

Not really sure I understand what you are asking. If you are wanting to hook the ATV behind the Jeep and tow it wheels down with just a tow bar then I don't think it is going to work. The tires on the ATV would not handle the high speed for very long and I suspect the ATV's drive train would be ruined in short order as well.
A small, lightweight trailer would be much better IMO.

I have seen platforms (like this) made specifically for ATVs that attach to a hitch receiver, but that would be a lot of tongue weight. I do not know if that would exceed the specifications for your hitch receiver or your vehicle (if this method of transport is what you are talking about)...

Not going to happen.
Your choices:
1. Get a trailer.
2. Get a truck.
The liberty cannot handle the kind of rear weight load that the receiver rack will put on the vehicle.

I'm curious, why don't you want to tow with a trailer?
I don't know about your location, but in lots of places you could pick up a nice single atv trailer for around $500. If you've already got the receiver hitch on your Jeep, you probably already have the wiring harness set up.
