Probably won't be much this weekend. I just got my wisdom teeth taken out today, so i don't feel much like bouncing all over the trails this weekend. This weekend is going to be about getting the truck ready for inspection, and at least attempting to clean it up. I at least want to get it tagged and registered, replace the broken o2 sensor, and put the new front brakes on it. Monday i'll get the tires put on, and then it should be ready for inspection.

I already "fixed" that ABS light. That dash was surpisingly easy to take apart, only 4 screws total to get to the instrument cluster and remove it hehe.

It's going to be impossible to remove 10 years of construction dirt in a few hours, there's at least a couple day's worth of cleaning to get this thing decent. The body isn't the problem, it's everything else. There's dirt and mud in all the little cracks and crevices on the dash, dust all over everything, especially worked into the seat, and there's a shell of mud and probably some concrete covering the entire underbody of the truck and a lot of the under-hood space. I know a guy that's trying to borrow a truck from his company that has a big gas powered hot water pressure water for mobile car washing, that would be the ticket to making this easy.

It doesn't look like the bed of the truck is in bad shape at all, despite the plastic bed liner holding all that dirt and water underneath for all that time. I can't stand these plastic liners, they cause the bed to rust out and all my stuff just goes sliding all over the place.

It's got some dents and imperfections, but overall not a bad looking truck. It'll look better once I get it cleaned up, paint that tailgate to match, repaint the rear bumper, and paint the other 3 wheels gloss black to match the one front one.

thats not a bad lookin truck is it only 2wheel drive. if it was me i'd just take the tail gate out screw it. and i hate plastic bed liners too. it's deffinately bad for trucks who ever thought of the crap is fukin stupid. i'm still looking for my truck i sold a deep freezer on craigslist the other day so thats another 150 to my fund. i think i'm up to 1400 now.

Yeah, it's a 2 wheel drive, but that's what I want. I don't need 4 wheel drive for anything that I plan to do with it, plus the 2 wheel has a lower ride height (easier to load the quad), weighs less, has less parts to wear out, and better fuel mileage.

thats true there is just something about 4wheel drive thats a good thing. cause i know where i've gone a few times needed the 4wheel motion to pull the trailer out of the sand. and lower load height what is that. i used to drive my wheeler up into a truck with a 6 inch lift. almost went through the window a few times but it's all good.

Mud tires are a good thing even if they ride kinda rough and make alot of noise. i've also been thinking about just finding an old jeep and a trailer instead of a truck. something i can take out on the weekends with the top off.

yeah then you'd have the best of both worlds, but good luck finding one for a reasonable price.... around here people want a small fourtone for a older jeep. thats why i wish i still had mine...
