I just finished my '85 chevy short-wide 4x4. Dropped in a crate 350 so it will be reliable and make the trips to little sahara (OK). Me and my bro built us a little custom trailer out of an old "pop-up" camper frame. Works great. Also just found that brand new crate 350 in that '85 4x4 short-wide gets about 10mpg. Not good.

Some quads sit low enough that you can actually ride them into a full size van if you hug the gas tank a little. I could do that with my warrior and my brother's 250ex. It's just borderline possible with my raptor, I scrape my back on the door opening a little bit when I do it.

I'm not absolutely positive, but I think if I tried it I could get 2 sport quads in my van. It's the longest full size van made though, the 15 passenger size without all the seats. I know I could fit 2 short quads in like 250's or blasters, it would just be really close with anything bigger. If you guys want I could go measure how much room there is behind the front seats to the back doors.

I was able to ride my Yamaha Bruin 250 into the back of my E-150 and even had enough room left over to load a small ATV flatbed trailer inside as well.

One thing I will suggest though, if you do get a van, get something new enough that it's fuel injected. It'll save you money on gas, it's more reliable, and it they make more power. This damn carb is the one single thing I really dislike about my van. Well, that and the 3 speed automatic. I hate automatics and a 3 speed just isn't the best thing for towing. Can't do much about that though, I think dodge completely eliminated the manual transmission option around 1988. If I could get a fuel injected van with a manual transmission, whether it would be a ford, chevy, or dodge, I would be putting a for sale sign on mine today and going shopping. But I sure haven't seen any yet. Automakers seem to have completely lost sight of what makes up a versatile vehicle. I mean, does ANYBODY actually prefer an automatic over a 5 speed, other than people that are lazy or don't know how to drive stick?

Here is mine, if I'm just bringing one quad, I pull it into the bed. It can be a little intimidating because of the height, but I picked up a set ot 72" long ramps...so it isn't too bad.

I'm going to be picking up a new 24' enclosed trailer this summer, it will make transporting the quads and RZR much easier.

I used to throw my quad in the back of my daily driver truck, but it was too much of a hassle pulling the tonneau cover off, plus it squatted pretty bad with another 600lbs in the bed.

I have considered picking up an old tour bus, or even a school bus and gutting the whole back end, installing some nice seats up by the front and giving it a nice paint job for a toy hauler. I just dont want to have a damn bus parked in my driveway though...lol

My toy hualer is a 02' ex-cab 4 door chevy 3/4 ton with the duramax and allison. I like the allison better than a manual, but thats about the only tranny I like better than a manual. I also use my 95 chevy ex-cab 1/2 ton, and its got a auto(which i wish was a 5 speed..... But its not) but unless I'm going to deer camp(then I only need one wheelie) I just put gear in the bed and pull a 16 foot trialer, looking for a fithwheel for cheap, but haven't found one yet. And everytime i go riding the ones here at the shop are all loaded..... So its a crap shot to depend on using one of them...
