Default Cherokee Wolf Pack

Does anyone have any experience with the Cherokee wolfpack that is made by Forestriver? I like the fac that there is an open cargo area in the front that should easily fit my two Honda Rincons.
Here's a link to the trailer I am refering to.:
Cherokee 18DFWP

Thanks

Forest River's build quality I think has varied over the years, but I think they are pretty decent.

RV makers/dealers are generally really hungry right now.

Thanks for the reply, I'm new to RV's/Toyhaulers. Anything in particular to look for (as far as quality/things to stay awayfrom)?

Generally speaking, pulling some drawers out in the kitchen and looking at the construction back there gives you an idea of the quality. Cheaper ones are pressboard and staples, mid-level ones particle board and screws, and better built ones are hard wood plywood maybe with dovetail joints.

If you are getting a first RV, it might be good to hit and RV show to see all the possible models that might interest you, then search the internet for used examples.

RV's loose a lot of value in the first couple years, even if hardly used and in good condition. Most everyone who buys their first RV learns from that experience what they really want... and you would loose your shirt buying a new unit and trading in just a few years.

Thanks for the advice. So basically just look at general construction like you would anything else. I was definately planning on used, but I will hit the next local RV show that would show me what is available. Thanks again, now i just need to figure out exactly what i want and wait on a used one to come along.

They all generally use the same fixtures and appliances, but build quality/general construction can vary wildly.

I was fortunate in having an experienced RV friend who was willing to tag along while I was shopping for my first one.

RV Repair and Maintenance Manual by Bob Livingston (editor of Trailer Life) is an excellent book that might be helpful.

If you look at used ones, water damage around fixtures or from around windows or the roof can total a trailer. Look closely for any swelling, discolored flooring or walls, or the smell of mould.

The other expensive repair would be the fridge. They are amonia absorption type, and if the cooling unit leaks it will run over a grand to repair or replace. If it doesn't cool well or if there is any powdery yellowish residue on or around the cooling unit...

I've had my Wolfpack for almost three years now and love it. With two Sportsmans it has a heavy TW (1500#), you need a 2500HD or 1500 with airbags or helper springs to keep your rear end from dragging. I've been all over with it and never had a problem.

NOt sure of the model, but they do make one toyhauler that moves everything (kitchen sink, stove, fridge, bathroom etc) over to the street side of the trailer and the bedroom in front is able to be folded up. What this does is allow you to park several machines nose to tail along the open side. That one model will make it possible to load 4 or 5 machines and a dirt bike or two. I have not seen any other company with a model like that.
