Default best 5x8 for under $700?

Looking for a small trailer to haul my new sportsman 500. I've looked at the big box stores like Lowe's, home depot, and tractor supply. Looks like the going rate for a wood floor model is about $700-$800. But I'm not convinced those trailers are built that well. Looked at Craig's list and nothing worth while in my neck of the woods. Are there quality models in that price range?

Check some other farm stores besides Tractor Supply. I have a 4x7 mesh floor I bought from a local farm store for $590. You could save a little going with 4' instead of 5' (I don't believe a 500 is much wider than my 400 that fits fine on 4'). The mesh floor is also quieter going down the road than wood I've found.

Those trailers are cheap built. Look for a v tongue and larger 5 bolt wheels with 14-15" tires.
Better trailers will have a 3500 axle and be rated at 2995 gvw.
Get the biggest trailer you can pull, the extra room is nice to haul other stuff.
I use a 5x10 to haul my atv I can set a couple boxes across the front of the trailer and room for gas cans, cant fit much extra on a 4x8.
Having used steel, mesh and wood floor, the wood is the way to go. Easy to screw things down and not as slippery when wet.

Unless you find one used you aren't going to find one built that heavy for the price you are willing to spend.

I'd like an aluminum trailer the size I have but for what little I'd use it paying close to double what I did for my mesh floored didn't make sense. Having extra space is fine but only if you are thinking you'll need it, otherwise you're wasting your money on extra steel/wood. I know what I have isn't as well built as pointed out, but for me, it works.
