Rear rack seat
#1
Anyone have any suggestions for a rear rack seat other than buying a $200+ setup from someone like Tamarack?
I would like a back rest on it but not to carry passengers with
Thanks

I have the Kimpex trunk box and it's very comfortable for passengers and for me to lean back against and rest if I dont have one. It was around $139 and included everything I needed to bolt it to the racks.
Then there is the Kimpex box with the actual seat, with much less storage, and I believe it's around $230. I'm not sure how the weight back there would affect handling, i'm sure speeds would have to be much lower, but I'm sure some of those who have this box can comment on it's comfort for passengers, or just 'relaxing' when stopped....yeah...
Good luck.

Greetings fellow mud beings
Fishon162 there are lots of different box seats to look at on the Armordillo site www.atvtires.com you should be able to see something that please ya.
Lightman as far as comfort goes these box seats are so comfortable the old lady always wants to come along now. The quad handles about the same but you should get up and over the handlebars when going up hills to help keep the front end down and in case of real steep hills my old woman gets off and walks up. I can go almost as fast with her and the box seat on as I usually go and the quad handles good but my back gets a little sore from the old woman beating on me to slow down. The times I've put someone on the back of my Cat 500i - which is not a small or a light quad - it has done fine on level ground, but as soon as any sort of incline is encountered, the front end loses traction and is reluctant to turn.
It surprised me how much steering gets degraded on inclines, with a person on the back. A lot more than level ground handling would indicate.
