PLOW QUESTIONS,HELP!!
#1
hey guys ,im new to this section of atv connection but not new to these forums ,i had a suzuki z400 and just recently sold it ,i put a deposit on a 2003 HONDA FOREMAN S ,im excited to get it in 2 weeks,i will also be buying a plow with it ,but i need a few questions answered and i was wondering if your experiences could help me.
the first question is ,should i go with a 50' plow or a 60',i plan to plow small 4-6 car driveways in my neiborhood,i do want a MOOSE PLOW ,i know that, but im afraid the 50' might be too small and the 60' too big, will the 50' give me trouble when i angle the plow?
second,i really want to get the electric lift for it,not the winch, but it looks kinda cheap, its a glorified window motor out of a car,how reliable are these and are they at all fast,? what are the pro's and con's
third, how is the foreman s with snow removal ,will it hold its own.or shoud i bring a shovel for the ride?
fourth and last question ,will i need to beef up the suspension
thats it
thank you in advance for your help to make my decision

I have a 650, so I don't know how good this will help you. I use a 60" plow and love it. Personally I would not go any smaller. One of my neighbors has a Forman. He has a 60" and has no problems pushing it.
I lift mine with my winch.

Just a few thoughts for you....The moose utility is a great durable plow. I would definately fo with a 60" plow as apposed to the 50". I have a buddy who got the 60" county blade which has worked great for him. As the snow builds,or gets deeper, the plow rolls the snow right away, regardless if the blade is angled or not. Just thought this would help.

I have a 2000 450es with Rule winch and 52" Cycle Country County(the angled one) setup. It has plenty of power. I wish the plow was heavier because if you go to fast the plow starts to raise off of the ground. The suspension could use help. The front end does sag 2-3" when plow is up. I did not upgrade my suspension. I believe the winch is slower when raising the plow. I bought a package deal that included the electric winch that I didn't need because I have a winch. It's brand new in the box if you want it for $120. My office is in Paramus, Bergen county so you can pick it up.
