Default Matttracks

I was watching the outdoor channel the other day I happened to come across something interesting ATV television. Normally I don’t find ATV television or 4x4 TV all that interesting due to the lack of variation in riding areas. Rocks, rocks and more rocks. Ponderous man. Ponderouos. F-ing ponderous. Not to bash them totally though. They occasionally have some pretty good info on their shows.

Anyway, the other day they were showing these track additions to ATVs called matttracks. They were these track systems you bolted onto each wheels and supposedly offered great traction in mud and snow. Have any of your guys ever seen these things in real life? I have seen a set on a truck once and they were pretty amazing but have never seen any on an ATV. Anybody know what a set would cost? I know the ones for the truck were hideously expensive. Way over 20 grand if I remember correctly.

They are about $3500 or so for an ATV. I saw some pictures with them on an ATV, (not sure which site though) it seemed to have tons more ground clearance, and looked pretty mean, but it was still stuck in the mud, and had to be pulled out. LOL.
