Default Question about my new kodiak

Not quite sure why this is happening I have a 04' Kodiak and have used it in Diff. Lock in High and Low gear with no problems. Does it stall only when you do this? Or has it stalled and now will not start again. Don't take this the wrong way but have you turned on the gas? On the side of the machine. The only reason I say this is because when I got mine I left it in the off postion and there was enough gas left in the line to drive around a bit then stalled out. I then remembered about the gas shut off switch.

Default Question about my new kodiak

Yes the gas is on all the way. The only time it stalls is when i'm in high gear with the lock on. It works in low with the lock on

It kind of sounds like reds problem. There is definitely something screwed up there. Does it only do it in Diff mode or does it do it in regular fwd?

Default Question about my new kodiak

Yes this is the same problem I had at first I said it stalled when put into 4x4 but after thinking about it it could have been diff lock. Mine stalled and then after a couple minutes started and then again when put into 4x4/diff lock stalled again and wouldn't start for quite some time. It sucks pushing these things especially when they are new!

Default Question about my new kodiak

Haven't figured it out yet, I've actually been busy the last couple of days and haven't had the time to check it out, hopefully today after work I'll try and see if the same thing happens.

Question: Is it OK to shift these wheelers into 4x4/diff lock on the go (at slow speed)??

I have no idea if it is ok or not the book says now but I have shifted it at slow speeds into 4 wheel drive as well as Diff. Lock I am too damn lazy to stop and shift every time.
