Stump Pulling
#1
Can you really use a Suzuki QuadRunner 500 4x4 to pull up stumps?
I readed in their owners manuals that it has one of the highest stump pulling power available in an ATV.
I know it has the 4wd low option available, but can it really be used to pull stumps?
Does anyone have any practical exterience in using one for this purpose?
Do you really use a chain and attach it to the trailer connector? It looks awful fragile!
Sorry for all the Questions, trying to decide if this ATV is what I need as a utility vehicle!

I personally would not use a chain to pull anything heavy except as a last resort. I prefer a tow strap that has a bit of give to it. If you jerk with a rigid chain with no give you stand a decent chance of going over the bars or getting something rammed into the bars that you would prefer not to. I have used my machine to pull out a few stumps. Most any machine 400cc on up has the potential to spin tires when trying to pull, this is why a jerk helps, you have the momentum of the machine to assist.

Of course the Quadrunner 500 can be used to pull up stumps. Even my Moto-4 225 can pull up stumps and its a 225cc! The 500cc will have no problem.
