Default Rumors of a 700cc+ Grizzly?

My brother put 589's on his P650 and hates them!!! He said they slip sideways too much and are unstable on the trails... yea.. good in the mud, but crappy on trails. My other brother rolled his Kodiak due to the 589's gripping a rut and tossing the bike sideways into a steep bank then over the oposite bank!! I've ridden my brothers P650 witht he 589's and they just feel unstable.. and don't track where "I" want the bike to go...they seem to go whereever the hell they want...

I'd go with Goodyear Mudrunners anyday!

You are correct. I just heard that kawasaki patented the idea of a v-twin in the utility atv's......that's all. I don't know for sure, so my bad. I think the griz is fine just the way it is. Each atv nowdays is for the most part, very well made, even the poor-o-laris is getting a little better in reliablity. So you really just pic the one that is right for you. Yamaha has a good thing going with the griz, and they will just continue to do what they are doing, just like the others.

Vengence: get your bro to set the toe in on the 650 to 0 it will help. I find the 589 28 are really great in deep snow/winter.... A lot better than the 25 mudrunners. The mudrunner is my selection of tire in the summer months. I also brought my tire pressure up to 20 psi for the first year. can u say a little bouncy.... I just wanted to balloon them out a bit. I just met someone today with a kodi with the 589's and same thing to what you said. i strongly feel the Kodi is too light of a bike for those tires and it would be awsome with mudrunners. I find that my 589 are stable for me on the 650/700. Now the 589 like it slow or real fast there is no inbetween is what i find. also the 589 are too heavy on trail to enjoy the trail.

How can Kawasaki patent the V-Twin concept in a quad????????????????? Polaris has a V-Twin, why isnt it under fire??????????? You all have it wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only thing Yamaha can't do is build the motor the SAME WAY as Kawi, Yamaha can produce what ever they want!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats like saying Ford can't build a V8 because Chevy has one!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!! Patent the IDEA OF A VTWIN IN A QUAD!!!!! LOL!!!!!!

Polaris doesn't use a V motor, don't they use a side by side or in-line style engine????

The only v-twin is the Kawi. I would find it disappointing if it's only pat to Kawi because it has soo much potential.... It's a very nice thumper. I personally don't like the twin design Polaris uses... but that's me, others do and that what counts. Yami does need a twin... Hopefully it's on their sport quad christmas list.
