Grizzly and Vinson good competiton???

I think the high speed handling manners of the Vinson may outshine the handling manners of the big Prairie only because of the softly sprung front struts of the latter. You can buy a suspension upgrade right from Kawasaki to improve that (or even go with aftermarket products), and with that they will probably be evenly matched in the handling department, except you will have the advantage of the 697cc V-twin Kawasaki engine. If you are more concerned about fast trail rides the 700 Prairie would be a better choice than the Grizzly to compare against the Vinson. If you want the softer ride of an IRS quad but don’t want to sacrifice in the handling department then Honda’s Rincon would be an improvement over the Grizzly (as long as you don't do extreme hills or extreme mud). It all depends where your priorities are. You will feel less worn out at the end of a day long ride with the IRS models because of the smoother ride. If you like to slide around corners with ease and spend most of your time going fast, (and these features are more important to you than rider comfort) then a quad with a solid rear axle (and 2WD / 4WD switchable) is a better choice. Right at this moment the Prairie 700 is the king in the power to weight ratio department (of the utilities) and you can feel it in the seat of your pants. The Vinson with the manual option gives you utility features with a sporty ride but less in the torque department. Humm, decisions, decisions…

I own both a vinson and a grizz I like the grizz better but the vinson is not a bad machine and can tow nice with the straight axal. Speed is close on my two machine with the 589 mt on the griz in 27" size compared to the stock tires on Vinson suzuki warrantied a gauge pod after warranty with 512 miles so they have great customer services once you writew them a letter to get the ball rolling

the only thing that the p700 has on the other to choises is the power. the suspention geometry is very lacking and way outdated. If i were you i would go drive all of them before you buy one. if you do buy the grizz i will put money down that you will be disapointed when comparing it to the vinson and even more after thingking about how much more money you spent. You should really read this comparison here is the web site. http://www.atvrideronline.com/tested/100_0306_showdown/

Yeah, thats what I don't like about the P700, the suspension set up. I am going to be waiting a while anyways, maybe the 05 king Quad that suzuki is working on will be the one I hate decisions....

True-dat on the upcoming 2005 King Quad 700. If you aren’t in a big hurry to buy, it would be worth waiting to see what this one has to offer and how it fares in a big quad shootout by the evaluators This one could be very interesting indeed. It will most likely be in the same weight class as the Grizzly / Prairie / Rincon / Vinson plus will have EFI and IRS…

Thats my thinking too, if it was up to me I would buy now, but I am buying a house so I have to take care of that first before I can get a new quad! Its sad, but could pay off since I have to wait!
