Does anyone know anything about the gbc gators? How big are the lugs on them and do you think 2 rear 25's would work on a 87 250 honda?What is the best mud tire.

 

hey mudin i have 24" Gators on my trailboss 325 and they are awsome! they are as smooth as the stock tires and mud's awsome, i can mus as good as my friends stock grizz 660. The best mud tire is outlaws by highlifter, go to www.highlifter.com and u can ask or search about them in their forums.

 

Iv'e got 26" Gators and I love them. Good on all terrain. Not THE best mud tire however. The best mud tires are for mud and mud only and not as good in other conditions.

I have never owned or ridden on Gators, But have heard good things from hard core mudders, I do belive they are heavy though. I do know that the ITP Mud-Lites I put on my King Quad 6 mo ago are the BEST tire I have ever ridden on. They may not be the best mudder or the best trail tire but they do both very well and are light compared to other tires of this nature. Also a good deal$ Good Luck JJ

 

I have gators on my kingquad.They work good at everything i put them threw. Trail threw deep mud. With over 1800 miles on them now they hardly show any signs of wear. I run at this time 25*10*12 on back and 24*9*11 on front. I just ordered 26*12*12 for the back and 25*8*12 for the front I also ordered new rims. I think there a great *** tire. The tred debth on them i think is about 1.25 to 1.5 inches.

 

If you re running a 25" tire on the front and a 26" on the back youre asking for trouble. You re suppose to run the same size tire all the way around. (height wise)

The 589s are good mud tire, most people love for the mud. I have the mudlites and I like them. But I mainly do trail riding.

No this machine comes with different sizes front to back. it originally had 25*10*12 on back and 24*8*11 on front. I did a lot of checking around and found people with this same machine went to 26 in back and 25 in front with no binding problems.

 

Hmmm learn something new everyday. I was always told they had to be the same size. Maybe its something in their design. What would happen if you ran the same size? Would that, then cause the binding?
