Best Plow??

Since you have a Polaris, look at the Glacier plow. No holes to drill and everything is made to fit your machine. Mounting or dismounting your plow takes 30 seconds. Glacier is the obvious choice for all Polaris owners. Cycle country, Moose and the others also make great plows but none of them are as easy to put on or take off as the Glacier.

On my cycle country plow I have a push plate that stays on my wheeler intil spring when I will take it off but I can mount mine in about a min. seems to be rugged ...plowed 12 inches of snow with it this past weekend. However, I would think that Sod is right...Glacier is made just for the Polaris machine and Iwould think that would be the way to go. If Yamaha would have a plow designed for my kodiak I would have probably have bought that one!

I don't know anything about the Glacier - so maybe someone who has one can comment, but I have a cycle country and one of the nice things about it as well as some others is it is a very heavy a sturdy built plow. Some are not - this would one thing I would make sure on any plow I bought.

I got my plow at the Cat dealer, comes on and off in 20 seconds but I am not sure what kind it is. I love it and have plowed as much as 15" at one time. It is even snowing outside right now! The reason for me posting here is to make sure you get the 60" plow, and not anything smaller! Nobody who has the 60" would trade it in for a smaller one. Good luck!

I just bought the 60" plow from American Eagle and I can take it off in less than 30 seconds also. It seems to be very sturdy ( I have it in front of a 700 efi) so it does take the abuse. I agree that you definately do not want less than 60" Mine was 329.00 total shipped to my door for everything I needed to put on my bike.

hey catterman, you dont have any problems pushing a 60" blade, i was worried about that so i went with the 52" quadboss blade, I think i may have to get a 60" blade for next year, although i enjoy plowing so much, i dont want to get done too quick.

akfireman, I don't have any problems with the 60" plow. The only thing is to make sure you have a good winch. My dad has a 2000 Cat 500 with the same 60" plow as me, but he only has the 1500 Warn winch and it won't hold it up all the way. When you put it at the highest level it will sag about 3 inches. The stock tires do a good job too, I have some chains but have never even taken them out of the box.
On another note, I was at the North Pole last summer. That is one crazy town! Even in July it was just like Christmas. I loved it!
