okay, here is my story. I have a 2001 bear tracker (piece of ****) it is all stock besides some trail lights that I bought because my other lights went out.
Well Heres a question. Is it possible to mount a big bear 350 engine on my bear tracker. My bro. says it would be easy. The other question is can i get four-wheel drive hardware off of a timberwolf and put it on my tracker. A few people told me both of these were possible. Please get back to me. My e-mail is buttons@netsouth.cc or trucker_boy_13@yahoo.com

My two cents is if you do this all you will have is problems, anything is possible, but reliability is the only concern I have for you. Off the top of my head you will run into tranny and drive problems, and I would not even think about the 4wd unit from a wolverine. The wolverine is geared much differently than the bear tracker. I hope you have a friend with a tow strap!

The project you are talking about is a losing battle. It will require so much time and fabrication that you will be much better off selling what you have and investing in a real 4wd with a decent powered engine.

I'm not sure on the engine, but it probably is possible to take the 4wd unit from a TIMBERWOLF and put it in the Bear Tracker since they're really the same machine. I could never understand why they dropped the 4wd option from the Timberwolf in the first place.
