Locking Differential
#2
It locks the front differential so that both tires get equal and constant power. Normally you have a limited slip differential which means when you get in deep mud or snow, power will go to the tire with least resistance. Locking Dif will pull you out of some real tough stuff, but it is very hard to turn.
