I do believe that I have seen far more honda problems with all of thier trannys that use electronics and that use tranny fluid, than people wearing out a belt. maybe if honda would just go back to the basics with thier autoclutch 5 speeds and goto a cvt like the rest of the world.

i agree with both you guys

bush and belt drives..3 up.

i got the same problem as 4xsuk, mine does the belt squeek, but i belive that is because the main helix is outta torque specs(over torqued)

i dont have any grinding. other than from my cv joint(gorillas going in!!)

polaris has the worst setup inho, they belts dont just slip, but rather SNAP..

I work at a Yamaha/Suzuki dealer and we have had Grizzlys in here with 5000 miles that the belt still measured in spec. Never have had a transmission problem either.

On the Yahama I like the fact that I can put the tranny in neutral for warmups and such and can rev it up, on the Polaris when I rev it up it feels like the thing is going to explode, things make nasty noise and the whole machine vibrates because there is so many moving parts. The Yahama is in true neutral and the engine free revs, the polaris doesnt free rev as its turing everything.

The Yahama has better engine braking

The Yahama shifts nicer

Honda tranny is also nice, and it's quiet (I've ridden friends) and it has good engine braking. For durablity I cannot comment other than to say "well it's a Honda" I think that speaks for itself. The button shifting was kinda confusing and Im not sure I like it but time on the machine would fix that im sure.

comparing just trannys I mark the Yahama way above the polaris and Honda felt nice if the thing was to never break down I might rate that first. I don't know a thing about Kawi or the rest
