Default 2005 kodiak450 went swimming

Hey all, My first post so here goes. I bought a new 05 Kodiak 450 and have been taking it easy on it till I got atleast 20 hours on it. Well this weekend my riding buddys suckered me into going where I shouldn't and I fell for it. Before I new it I was over the racks with water and had no choice but to give it full throttle and 20 yards later we arrived to the far side after being submerged. They were laughing so hard till I said lets see your Polaris do that! Sure enough It spurted and sputtered and I had to winched him out. All I had was a little water in my air box and a little in my tool box. I took it home and gave it a good wash and greased it the best I could even using all the advice that I got on here from another post. Using the 90 degree attachment on my grease gun I still dont think I'm getting grease into the zerk, it seems grease is just pilling up everwhere around it. Should I try the needle value? Any advice would be welcome. Is there anything else I should do after taking swimming beside draining the belt unit and all the check hoses? This is one fine machine! The only thing is the SQUEAKING back brake. What do I do about that?

The squeeking back brake is a very common comment about the Kodiak, Have you used it much? Seems like the squeeking gets less the more its used.

When you are going to use a bike for a "submarine" then If i was you then I would put a bead of silicone around the airbox lid and put some Di-lectric grease under your sprak plug cap to help prevent it from cutting out.

Hope you changed your oil. If you had water in the air box, you have it in your motor.
