Cold weather oil?

If your motor spins over fast enough, and doesnt make knocking noise, when cold, then what youre running is ok. The service manual for my yami has 5w 30 optional, for when the temp is below 32 degrees. But doesnt reccommend for over 32 degrees.

That depends on how cold it gets where you live. Some oil cans have a temp chart printed right on the bottle. Every operators manual that I have seen has an oil temp chart in them. This will tell you the weight of oil to use.
Most true synthetics have ridiculous temp spreads. Like 40 below to 130 above F.
