Default big bear

what is the 05 big bears speed and is it for hills climbing and mudding and another thing what quad cant throught the steepest hills without rolling over backwards

It will top out around 45-50
It will climb OK
They mud real good with the right tire
There isnt really an answer to your last question, some are better than others but you can roll anything over when climbing a hill

i agree with everything lomax said...when you get up to 5th gear it feels like you could have so much more with a 6th gear...it would be cool if they put one on...my bigbear used to climb ALOT better than the rancher until i put the lift kit on...now it climbs ok...

These guys pretty much summed it up. Bullet proof motor, low end geared, and needs a 6th. Climbs great, muds great, plays great. Good quad.

yeah...for you a kodiak probley would be the better choice...it will have a little more power...IRS 4x4/4x2 and itll be more fun to drive...not that the bigbear is a bad quad by any means
