Exactly. Try doing 70 on a bumpy road on an IRS machine. Very scary.

imagine rolling a 600pound+ quad going over 60 mph. Thats nuts. My cousin flipped his dvx onto his lleg going 40 and shattered it to piecies, and we weren't moving very fast. Imagine a utility quad tumbling through the air when you hit a rut in the trail, or the sttering goes wobbly on you.

Yeah. Basically if you want to top your machine out, that's fine. For the love of god though, do it on smooth pavement.

i second that powerstroke, i've topped out on bumpy trails without feeling out of control many times. i'm 20 years old though, maybe that's what's wrong with me!

I'd much rather top out my IRS quad on bumpy dirt then on pavement!

Because a quad is designed for off road and not pavement.......you can make a move if you have to in the dirt......do it on pavement and your in for a road rash.
And I ride a fair amount of pavement in N Idaho where it is legal to ride the roads.

Understandable. I just seem to prefer a smooth, paved road for straight-line top speed runs myself.
