Default Big Bear or Eiger

A while back I thought I wanted a big bear but the Eiger has cought my eye.

Here's my problem now...

Either model I go with I'm getting a manual.

My Goal is to keep the price under 6000. That includes winch and bigger tires. Which shouldn't be a problem as I can get out the door with both for around 4700 not including the winch or tires.

Here my question though. I know the big bear is geared really low and doesn't have a massive top speed which doesn't bother me but I've heard above about 30-35 it sounds like it's wound tighter than a ducks...well it's wound tight. I plan on adding 27x10 and 27x12 ohw much would that help the top end on the big bear?

And would 27's bog down the Eiger to much? I might go with 26's if I get the Eiger.

I'm looking at 27's for that little extra ground clearance and looking at wider tires for a little bit more stability.

Any help with the tire questions would be appreciated and any suggestions on which Quad to go with would be great too. Thanks Guys!!!

You've got a 3rd motion here for the Eiger. If you must go past stock sizes (25"), I would say no more than 26" and try to find a lighter tire. Mudlites don't last very long.

Some of my riding friends have over 4000 miles on their Mudlites, not easy miles, either.
