I've learnt how to ride wheelies on my 1986 Honda Fourtax 250. The front end can lift when I'm putting it into either first or second. I now have heavier tires on the rear so it is harder to lift it in 2nd. What I do, is I put it in between gears and rev the engine a bit. Then I pop it into gear and give it gas and pull up on the handle bars all at the same time. I seem to have mastered it as the front end lifts right up and I can then shift up to third then fourth and I have rarely gotten it to 5th. Once in 4th, the front end usually starts to fall.

yea, i do wheelies on my bayou by dumping the clutch. NOT THE GEARS!!!! it works really good if i roll backwards shift it into first rev it up and let go of the shifter. ive gotten it into 5th gear but it doesnt ride fer but about 10ft. but im only 15 and weigh about 110 so its easy to get it up. lol

Have you tried to power wheelie it? Get up some speed and let fully off the throttle and compress the suspension, right when it is about to rebound slide back in the seat and slam on the throttle.......that usually works.....but that is from riding Sport Bikes, not quads, but I'm guessing it would be much the same.
Also pulling up on the handle bars at the same time may help.......that's a no no on a bike though.

I do that sometimes too. I will be driving and have it in high RPMs (going up a hill) and when I get to the point where the hill turns flat, I let go of the gas and then I hit it and pull back on the handlebars and it will lift. I can do this in 1st or 2nd.
