Default Arctic Cat 700 EFI Question

I think it's going to have the same ECM as the KQ, so the lag will probably be there. The difference might be in gearing, as AC is using lower 4.0:1 gearing. It might allow the motor to spool up faster and reduce the "lag time" but I doubt it will cure it. If it does, you'll sacrifice a little top end. I can't see AC using their own ECM on a Suzuki motor.

Default Arctic Cat 700 EFI Question

I noticed in the new issue of Quad magazine I got in the mail the other day they mentioned that Arctic Cat had remapped the ECU for better cold weather starting. Take that for what it is worth.

I have one and the lag, yes, some what, but change the program and loose the lag, then you can nudge up to a trailer, it is the idea behind trucks, they have a little lag at the low end for backing up or just nudging to line up for something, you can eliminate the program, but the belt tensinioning on the auto tranny is the real cause.
