Sportsman 700 vs. Grizzly 660 100 yd race off???
Getting back closer to the original topic, I raced a 05 Grizz Sunday. The guy had his bike at our family's Mother's Day. He was running his mouth about how fast it was and how the Kawi's V-Twin was overated and how he can stand his Grizz right up. I smarted off about racing him so that he could see what Kawi was all about. My bike was ten miles down the road at the ranch though. He kept going on," Blah, Blah, Blah, I have beat P650s before, Blah, Blah, Blah, I haven't owned a stock bike in all my life, Blah, Blah, Blah, I got two bills in my pocket that says that BF650 aint nothing!
I got tired of it and made the trip to get my bike. When I showed up with my bike and the $200 he started getting a little nervous. He unloaded his and was riding wheelies around showing off. My bike was sitting there just idling away.
We lined up and all the family filed out to watch. He started laughing at me when I crawled up on the handle bars. We took off and I spanked his A$$. We ran 3 times. He was hot. I took the two hundred and gave him $100 back and told him to use the money to start saving for a Kawi.
The Grizz is a good bike, but this guy was asking for it. It felt good to put him in his place.

Yeah, it helped the bottom end alot. It is great for wheelies and if you pull stuff you get power instantly. I play in a creek of ours alot and we put around climbing cliffs and stuff. ITs like driving a technical trail most of the time. It is nice to have for the price.
I am about to get the Dyna FS Ignion though because I want more power through out the whole power band not just down low. It is going to cost about $220 to get that though.

Just that it overheats and burns out, I was told this from were i bought the moose module, and they carry both, so it wasnt a sales pitch! They said they are fine, but real touchy, and i told him straight out, i want something i wont have to worry about replacing with harsh riding. He simply told me the moose module is the safest in those terms, as he had yet to have someone call him back for a replacement moose module. I just cant spend 300 dollars, even if it doesimprove the entire powerband, and worry about having to eat the 300 dollars because it fried. Ill stick with the 90 dollar, Less risky performance mod

i had my dyna burn out after having it about 6 months i think. i called right down to the company i think it was in california and told them i burnt it out they said ok gave me the address and i sent it down by the next weekend i had a brand new one. very friendly to deal with and they replaced it no questions asked. when it happened i was just playing around in the gravel pits i then shut it off to adjust the idling on someones wheeler and i jumped back on mine turned it over and it fired and died i then turned it over again and it fired and smoke started coming out all over from under the seat. i heard the early dyna cdi's were prone to burning out but the newer ones are alot better.
