I am looking for a universal winch that I can put on my Flywing Utlitiy quad. I was looking at the Gorilla winches on Ebay and would like to get one. My problem is you need to be specific about the quad you have for the mounting. I have a welder and have no problem welding it to the quad. What would be a good universal setup?

 

I fixed up a winch for my son's LT160 Suzuki...got a 12-volt winch for $49 at Harbor Freight Tools, built a custom bumper for next to nothing out of scrap angle iron, $3 for a can of Krylon spraypaint, got a Warn controller for $79 off of eBay to wire it to the quad. Built my own switch and housing for $14 in parts (look at my profile/pics to see the one I built for my Vinson)

Probably won't pull my Vinny out of a bad mudhole, but it will pick his quad up off the ground.
