Sporty Utility

In mu opinion......... the exact definition of a sport/ utility atv is the Prairie 700 and SRA BF650.
They have power and handling of a sport quad and they are VERY capable utility quads.
You can get in with sport quads and utes and get respect from both,, I do it all the time. I am sorry but you can not do that on a Honda 500 or any of the other simular bikes. The sport riders will laugh at you trying to run with them.

Take a look at the Outlander 500 coming out this fall. 500 V-twin Rotax with the most power in its class. If you don't want to wait the Outlander 400 is a good choice.

Suzuki Vinson gets my vote. It has plenty of power and speed for me it can push snow or haul heavy loads with ease. Theres plenty of power in low range and in high you can hit 60mph in no time. You can slid the rear out on corners with ease and its a nice size IMO.

LMFAO. If sport riders laugh at you because you ride a ute all you need to do is smile and smoke em It has always worked for me. I ride with mainly sporties but when we get off the dunes and on the trails I am one of the fastest riders in the group of over 100 Ohh and you don't need the Prairie 700 to do it, my Rancher 400 works just fine.

I know I had a Rancher 350 and on tight trails it was good but after that it was down hill. They were always waiting for me. Every time the group would take off I was way back there and they would have to slow down and wait for me and then with a top speed of 52mph it was really a hastle when I would go with them.
With the Brute or Prairie you can out run most of the 400cc and less sport quads. They run 70mph and get there quick at that. There is no waiting any more.
This is my experience with the sport quads riders that I ride with. The are WOT all the time and there is no Honda 400 that will keep up by the first 30 yds you will be at the back eating dust.

If I was on budget I would look for a deal on one of Kawasaki's non-IFS SRA BF 650s. They're pretty reasonably priced and I rode one a little over the weekend and they're a great ATV. Fast, nimble and put together well. Doesn't ride quite as plush as others but is still quite good. They go for a really good price they guy who owned it said. I was impressed. Much better machine than the 750 in my opinion. Now if they would just put front A arms under that 650 frame and put the 750 engine in it....THAT would be a an outstanding ATV for Kawasaki and would spank the IRS BF.
If you wanted to take a chance on a new machine the new grizzly really looks to be something special. I was talking to a guy recently who has ridden one who is just raving about it and he's a die hard Honda guy. Second person I've talked to personally who have ridden it and loved it.
