spend 100 dollars on a Moose Power Module, the plug in play, all you have to do is unplug the stock connectors, plug them into the Moose Power Module and plug that into your machine.... You will get every ounce of power back that those bigger tires robbed and then some

Thanks for the good information. But, I need to get the carburetation fixed 1st. Since my buddies bf750 beats the 800sp, then I should. And he has 27" ITP 589's as well as a basket rack and a metal storage box on back. Once I get the carburetor fixed, and if my wife lets me keep it along with buying a sp800 X2 deluxe, then I will look into that power pack you are talking about.

But, again, thanks for the good information and BTW, nice graphics on your bf750. That looks real nice.

I am getting conflicting reports on the exhaust on the 07 800 Sportsman X2 Deluxe. Is this a dual exhaust or single exhaust. One dealer said single and one dealer said dual. ???

The other day when I was at the dealer, their deluxe sp800 had duel exhaust, but the regular sp800 had a single exhaust. I asked why and he said polaris decided to not to make that standard except on the deluxe models. He said that the duel exhaust is really a single exhaust that is split right before the back wheels. I asked about the sp800 X2 deluxe and he said it should be standard b/c of the deluxe package on the 800.

Looks like the XT standard or custom will have the single exhaust looking at the specs.

You should com pair apples to apples a four wheeler with all boxes and extra things we all most have can't be come pared to a dealer demo that has been tuned up to be a demo who knows what been done to it or your BF750 needs a tune up or hes done a lot of work on the Polaris. If you think the Polaris is fast you should ride the the Can-AMS out-lander 800 it will drive buy the Jenny Crag sp 800 with two people on it .

As a matter of fact, I did ride the 800 bomb at the dealer that day. They sell polaris and can-am/bombardier atv's. Before I unloaded my bf750, I rode the sp800 and he rode the can-am 800 outy. We actually raced coming back on the same field. He beat the sportsman by about 1.5 quad lengths. Then I rode it. Very fast quad. All three are extremely fast. But I like the ride of the sportsman b/c it has no bump steer and a smooth ride. The can-am800 was fairly close, but it still has bump steer. The rear TTI suspension was nice. But, you do have to be impressed with the sportsman for being able to keep up with the other two and it is packing about 150 lbs more.

But, the bottom line is I will be taking mine in next week for a tune up and carburetor job. I spoke with my dealer and told him what was going on with the backfiring and missing as well as being beat by the sp800. He said something is definitly not right with the carburetor. The bummer about all of this is it is bow hunting season. I told him I needed my quad by next weekend. He said they will have it out by then since I am a perferred customer ( bought massy ferguson tractor, trailer, disk, hay rake, hay baler, etc as well as kawie mule, kawie, 360 prairie, kawie 700 prairie and this bf750).

Sounds like apples to apples to me. Good post vtwinman. I just can see myself on the outy. It looks lame.
And yes styling means something to me. I am sticking with the 07 800 SP deluxe. (so far)
This will be my first four wheeler. I am taking the plunge.

Congrads on buying your 1st quad. Just a note, be careful since your are buying one of the top three big bores made. If you haven't had enought seat time on a quad, these big bore utility quads can get away from you due to their power if you are not careful. Remember, safety 1st so you can ride another day. But, again , congrads and let us know what you actual do buy and how you like it.
