Dirt Wheels 650 to 700 shoot out

I like the new grizz but to me it lacks power but the PS is the biggest improvement to ATVS since they put four wheels on ATVS.Dirt wheels also pointed out some negatives about the other ATVS.

The Grizzly definately doesn't have the most power, but it is one heck of a comfy ride and feels extremely nimble with that EPS. I guess I'm gonna pick up Dirtwheels to see what they say, as I cancelled my subscription earlier this year. All ATV's have their good and bad aspects. It's all about which one fits your overall needs the best. I can say that I'm having a hard time getting used to that engine breaking....it works too well for me.

What is this world coming too?? Now they are installing power steering on ATV's? Why stop there? Why not install a heater and air conditioning, how about heated seats, or a 5 disc cd player, maybe cruise control, this is CRAZY!! The real meaning of the sport and the fun of riding an ATV is being lost and taken away from us! The people that make ATV's are telling us we are a bunch of wimps and panzy mommys boys that are not tough enough to handle the manual steering on an ATV! I take it as an insult to my manhood!

You obviously have not been on an all day trail ride and switched back and forth between riding a Grizzly 700 and riding any other utility ATV, have you. Because the Grizzly drives better than any other utility ATV I have ever ridden.
Lets make sure they don't improve anything else while they're at it.

The only reason I would agree with having power steering is for situations where you are running with the front differential locked (this means truly locked, not limited slip) and the front becomes hard to steer...assistance is almost required, especially if you're tired from a long day's ride. I have ridden the Grizz 660 and it's a bear to steer when locked, just as the old 300cc Kingquads used to be back in the day.
It's good that they finally ran the shootout in Dirtwheels and determined a winner, even if it's the 700 Grizz, as well as the runners up, now we can put to rest that ridiculously long thread about who makes the best utility quad, at least for another year (unless some toothless moron, who thinks he's a better tester than the numerous and probably impartial Dirtwheels staffers, reads this and has to spout off his own wisdom about how his brand is better than everyone elses)

My wife loves her EPS. She'd love heated seats too. She even suggested a cup holder for her Chi tea ('08 model?)! Looks like the real meaning of the sport is to sell more quads and open up the demographics. Works for me 'cause now I also have a Grizzly 700 (though it's no Eiger 400).
