Well the U.S. military uses Mile Marker winches for their Humvees, so I don't think you can go wrong with those.

3000lbs should be plenty strong for an Arctic Cat 400.

Don't know about accessories, always good to carry a ****** block or a pulley block, a web strap for hooking up to trees without damaging them, and a bow shackle.

Hope this helps.

I bought a mile marker 2500 out of Cabela's for 159.00 and have no regrets what so ever.

I have a 2500 on my Suzuki Eiger and have had it underwater, under mud and everything else and it works great! I would buy one again.

Default mile marker winches

I'm curious if anyone knows if the line speed on a milemarker electric winch is the same as a Warn, Ramsey, etc. I ask because I had one of the first Mile Marker hydraulic winches, and it was way too slow. I went through the work to install the winch, including the new hoses and adapters that hook into the steering box, which is about four times the work involved in installing an electric winch. After installation I found out that it takes a full fifteen minutes just to spool in the cable. I had never in my life seen a winch that slow, and that was when I uninstalled the winch, and sold it. I think Mile Marker is a good company that makes a good product. They now make a two speed hydraulic winch, which is twice as fast as the one I had, and I suspect their electric winches are equally good quality. But if I were going to buy another Mile Marker winch I would at least look at the specs beforehand.

Default mile marker winches

Having owned my mile marker for about 5 months now I do regret purchaseing this winch. The only reason I do so is because it is unsealed and I shorted out my motor. They have an excellent warrenty department. I ironically won a free XT25 warn winch right after I burnt out the motor so that currently replaces my mile marker which will be reinstalled on my Polaris Magnum 330.
