Wish Yamaha would come out with a 500 cc like Suzuki did in their King Quad package, Maybe throw it in their Grizzly frame for us bigger guys.

The 450 Grizzly is close enough to be called a 500 class utility I would think, and with IRS and Diff lock it,s not lacking anything to its competitors.

Yes I just wish the 450 Yamaha was the size of the 450 Suzuki as they already have a 400 and 350 in the small frame package which is great, Just doesn't fit my long legs.

Get a 500cc Cat. I am a pretty big guy and the adjustable suspesion and 12" of ground clearance is best in class.

Arctic Cat or Yamaha 450. But for a big guy, a Cat would be more comfortable, as it is a big machine

Or you could just get the Suzuki King Quad 450?

The Vinson would be well worth consideration too.

Yamaha does not like to be behind anyone. So even though the 450 Griz (420cc) is a fantastic performer I think we will see a new full size 450cc EFI Griz very soon. Remember that the 2007 700 Griz was announced in June 2006 so we could see something on this probable new machine anytime now.

If Yamaha does come out with a larger 500CC Utility ATV, That would definitly be one at the top of my list. I did have a 500 cc Artic Cat (2005) and did not care for the steering or the reliabilty, looked good though.

I agree Oldturle, I see Yamaha possibly coming out with an EFI 450/500 engine for the 450 Class this summer, they have seen a huge sucess so far with the Grizz 700 EFI.

I have an '07 Grizz 450 and I am quite happy with it so far. I am average per say @ 5'11 /210 and the Grizz totes me around pretty good..

If you are looking for a 500 class utility quad which fits a variety of body sizes, including people with long legs, you would have to look hard for a vinson 5-speed owner who didn't love their machine. I am 6'1" and the vinson fits me very well and I am extremely pleased with all aspects of this quad.
