Default CG Question

If I instaled 14" rims (replacing 12") thus increasing the ride hight by 1" and also increasing the with by 1" would the ATV center of gravity be:

Highter?
Lower?
the Same?

Thanks D

All of the above.

The tire height will change CG, not the wheel diameter. You can buy a 25" tall tire with a 14" wheel that will lower the CG relative to a 27"tall tire with a 12" wheel. The larger diameter wheel when combined with an equal height tire will not change the CG, but will improve handling because the sidewall of the tire does not roll over as much on fast turns.

Default CG Question

OK, so here my real dilema....my ATV has 12" rims. thinking of upgrading to 14" rims and tires. the dealer said it would be 1" wider and 1" highter........ So in the case would I be less stable? <!--IBF.ATTACHMENT_2633416--><!-- THE POST -->
