ours was showing a little hot.

we went to the parts store a bought a gauge that shows the actual temp. and replaced the orginal gauge. the new gauge never gets over 165

not sure what kazuma considers hot but our unit never ran hot

got the temp gauge at oreillys. it was a temp gauge that is set up for multi amp set up.

we added water through the plastic overflow tank should be mounted on the firewall under the hood.

let it run till engine warm then tilt the bed and crack the valve behind the engine and drivers seat. crack open until water starts flowing out. if the motor has air pocket steam will come out first. top off the overflow. do this a couple times should get all the air out.

hope this helps
