no apologies needed, i was just clearifying my post. the guy in that photo needed a rebuild after 4 miles. at factory the rubber boot to the carb was cracked and sucked all this mudding water in to the cylinder. yes he broke it in in a mud hole!! actually this photo is when he got the bike fixed and went back to the mud hole he drowned it in. he made it this time, notice the snorkel for his air intake on the left front(its black). hes selling it now due to a baby on the way.

Well i am the proud new owner of an 08 Arctic Cat 400 LE.... I think i got it for a pretty good price at 5299 plus taxes and all that.... Comes with front and rear brush guard and a 2500 lb warn winch and nicer rims.... Should be a great machine at a great price and you can't beat the 2 year warranty it comes with.... Thanks for everyone's help and i will probably have some more questions down the road.... Dealer told me that putting any bigger tires on it during warranty period will void it but not more agressive stock sized tires.... Might go with some mudzilla's or some kenda executioners.... Thats probably going to be the next thing i will ask for help on,lol...

Yeah that is nice and they have the nice ground clearance too.... Is there anything on them that i should watch out for or be careful of? Any common problems on them that i should look in to?

the only problem ive heard of ,and its not a big problem. guys are complaining about the hi/low/reverse shifter is tight or doesnt want to shift in to the gears easily. others also have said it seems to be a little under powered but at about 500 miles it starts to wake up. my buddy has the 400 le and does exactly what all us others with 500cc and up do. great choice and ride carefully. oh, in the future ,when you get tires on it, 6 ply will help out with better handling also.

Well i have taken it out to play in the mud and was pretty pleased with it.... Had to lock the front end in once though but thats why i wanted the dif locker.... Probably didn't have to but i didn't want to floor it to get out when it had less than 5 miles on it... The front right was trying to engage but once i locked it i pulled right through.... Some more agressive tires and i would probably rarely even need 4wd in the areas around my house, lol...
