I like riding in conditions that require a pressure washer before I park the bearfor the night

 

torrential downpour the night before mid 70s super sunny and muddy and wet towrds the end of summer

 

My best riding condition is when all four wheels are on the ground and I come home after riding all day in one peace.

my off road experience is mostly on bikes, but I loved good packed snow. It was better than some of the soils I've ridden on, and just gets better with use.

The question is more WHEN is the best time?

Right now is great riding in CO, because you have warm weather but patches of snow in the mountains. But with the snow melting you also get mud (CO lacks water in general any other time).

Soon the melt water will be gone and CO will be desert dry again. It'll be really hot, and the wind will create massive dust clouds.

Right now is the best riding in CO I think. This or deep winter because below a certain point in the mountains you'll get 60 degree days and sunny weather with not alot of snow.

 

I like the conditions right now here in Newfoundland. It's warm enough for a sweat shirt and pants (not too warm and uncomfy). You can go on snow and mud in the lower terrain. I was at the Ski resort yesterday which is now closed. What a lot of fun.
