Ok, I meant, you can't barely buy a pile of quad crap for $4000 here. A Honda Recon 250 foot shift msrp is $5509, +taxes, freight, etc.

A Polaris Phoenix 200 is $4600, +tax, freight, etc.

Like I said, Canadians get shafted. But Europeans get an even worse shaft.

That sucks. I didn't know you were talking about The Great White North. It's only $3,899 for a Trailblazer, $3,199 for a Phoenix, and $3,699 for a Honda Recon in the U.S. Other brands and models must be similarly priced, and everything is usually sold for hundreds less than retail. $CAN were equal to $US the last time I checked. I really feel sorry for you guys that have to spend an extra $2,000 to get the same thing. I know they get the shaft in Europe too but they're used to it.

DCC, you did say a new ATV for the kids, not an ATV for each kid. I guess I wasn't really thinking. $4-5,000 is a lot more than I'd spend on them unless I was sure they wouldn't tear it up. With your budget maybe you could afford 3 used ones for them to destroy.

Yeah sorry, I am Canadian. And we get shafted on atv and snowmobile prices up here. Although, this year every manufacturer upped prices in the states, while so far I think they have stayed the same here. AND Can-Am DROPPED their msrp up here by a LARGE amount, over $1000 per model.
Can-Am went from one of the higher priced quads here to one of the lowest. Awsome.
Example: 2009 Yamaha Grizzly 700EPS - MSRP $11,599+tax, freight, etc. (no change from 2008)
2009 Can-Am Outlander 800 Standard - MSRP $10,599+tax, freight, etc.
2008 Can-Am Outlander 800 Standard - MSRP $12,199+tax, freight, etc.
2008 Polaris Sportsman 800 Standard - MSRP $11,699+tax, freight, etc.
2008 Kawasaki Brute Force 750i - MSRP $10,899+tax, freight, etc.
2008 Suzuki King Quad 750 - MSRP $10,799+tax, freight, etc.
Still not at American prices, but its a step in the right direction, by a Canadian manufacturer no less.

Oh, and usually you can find dealers that are willing to deal, but not always, and a 'deal' over here still doesnt mean American prices.
