Default Help on my atv need advice...

I need your guys help on how i can make a place in the front, back and sides of my quad of when i get stuck something i can grab on to to lift out of its rut or whatever its stuck in. I find on the 800 sportsman there is no where to grab to pick either the front or back end up. Im looking for some ideas on something i can bolt on somewhere that i can pick it up with. The polaris sportsman 800 is not a light bike and with no where to pick it up as well makes lifting it up to get it out is soooooo hard. Thans guys in advance.

I can,t lift my 650lb Sportsman ATV back end or front end a inch of the ground on a flat garage floor let alone out of a wheel rut or suctioned down in a mud spot . Even cant on my 350 Grizzly. Once a machine hits 500lbs plus the man handling part is over.
I would just get a winch and let it do the work and save your spine.

There is a sand anchor that works in the conditions you've described for an anchor point with a winch.

I'd find a friend who knows how to weld and attach what you need to the frame. I think front and back would be sufficient, personally.

If that sand anchor's built along the same principles of my son's box anchor for his boat it ought to hold.

Lifting it in your garage isn't the same as out on the trail. You may be off camber, pulling against the suction mud creates, etc.

That's a good point. I moved my previous Sportsman X2 (the heaviest quad out there that I can think of) a few times from the front. I don't see being able to do that in the mud. Winch with a ****** block pulley is the best way to go or friends with tow straps. Deep mud would mean more than one friend using tow straps.
